Accessibility Statement — VendMe

This statement is issued under the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to a Service), 2013, which reference Israeli Standard IS 5568, based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA. It covers this website and the VendMe app, and also appears inside the app (Settings → Accessibility statement).

1. Our commitment

VendMe is committed to providing an equal service to all users, and works to make its app and website accessible to people with disabilities.

We invest effort and resources to enable comfortable, independent and safe use, in the belief that every person deserves to live in equality, dignity and independence.

2. Level of accessibility

We are working to make the app and website accessible in line with Israeli Standard IS 5568, based on the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines, at conformance level AA. As at the date of this statement, conformance is partial: it has been completed on some screens and the work is ongoing.

What is already in place: compliant colour contrast in primary text, primary buttons and content cards; support for enlarged text via device settings, with no override by the app; right-to-left (RTL) directionality for Hebrew; and screen-reader labelling on some of the core screens.

What is not yet complete, and is being addressed: icon-only buttons without text are not announced with a meaningful name on every screen; modal dialogs do not confine screen-reader focus to their content; there is no navigation by headings; and on some secondary components the contrast or touch-target size does not meet the standard.

Order of work: the core screens first — sign-in and onboarding, the feed, chat, the deal card and orders — then the remaining screens. Target for the core screens: 31 December 2026. Target for the whole app: 30 June 2027. We will update this statement at each milestone, and at least once a year.

On this website: a hierarchical heading structure, compliant text contrast, full keyboard navigation, alternative text for content images, and respect for the operating system's reduced-motion setting (prefers-reduced-motion).

3. Device-level adjustments

The screen readers built into mobile devices — VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android — can be enabled on every screen of the app. The quality of the spoken output varies between screens: on screens that are not yet fully accessible, some buttons may not be announced with a meaningful name, as described in section 2.

Text size can be enlarged through the device settings, and the operating system's accessibility settings (high contrast, reduced motion, etc.) can be used.

4. Known limitations

Some pages or components may not yet be fully accessible, and user-generated content (images, product descriptions) is not fully under our control.

We continue to improve accessibility on an ongoing basis, and invite you to report any difficulty so that we can address it promptly.
